Dr. David Overman - Senior Pastor
Michael Palis -Associate Pastor for Worship & Youth
David has served as pastor of Park Hill since May, 1983. He is a native of Missouri, growing up on a small farm just outside of Excelsior Springs. He graduated from Washington State University with a B.A. in General Studies 
in Mathematics. He has a Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky where he met his wife Cathy, who currently works for WattMaster Controls in Parkville. They have two married sons, Michael and daughter-in-law Marnie and John and daughter-in-law Amy. Prior to coming to Park Hill he served for almost eleven years as pastor of Bellfield Baptist Church in Henderson, Kentucky. He served on the Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Board for six years. He writes as an avocation and has had articles published in Proclaim Magazine and other denominational publications. He enjoys the shooting sports, reading, working cross word puzzles and he's been known to fiddle around in the kitchen. Recently he and Cathy have become grandparents for the first time with the arrival of Noelle Elizabeth Overman, daughter of John and Amy.

Mike joined the staff of Park Hill Baptist in June of 2001. Mike is a long time Missouri boy having grown up in Cape Girardeau, MO. He graduated from William Jewell College, and while serving the Armour Heights Baptist Church in Kansas City, met his wife Sandy.
Mike holds a Master of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Sandy is an administrative assistant for the accounting firm of BKD LLP. The Palis’ don’t have any children, so they delight in spoiling their dog, Lexie. Mike also has served churches in New Madrid, MO, Ft. Worth, TX, Miami, OK and Kansas City. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar. Other hobbies are recording music in his studio, as well as photography, videography, cooking and eating.
Nancy and her family have been at Park Hill since 1989. She has been a part of the PHBC support staff since 1998.
Nancy and Don, who works for the USDA, have been married since 1970 and have four children: Scott, who is married to Kerri, Greg, who is married to Haley, Kelsi and Kayla. She's also an avid Cardinals baseball fan and enjoys quilting.
Michael joined the staff at PHBC in March 2008 after the medical retirement of George Watson. Ironically, Mike was doing the custodial work here when George started and turned
the keys over to George. Mike has spent most of his career working in real estate He is married to Jody (Sherry) and has two children and eight grandchildren. Sherry is a nurse in the cardiac care unit of North Kansas City Hospital.
