How to Know Jesus
”For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. — John 3:16
God Loves You! He wants you to have "everlasting life" - life at its fullest here and now and eternity in heaven. Unfortunately, the Bible
and experience teach us that we are sinners. Sin separates us from God and keeps us from experiencing everlasting life. We need to be forgiven - permanently.
Fortunately, God's love is more than words. It's active, providing a way - in fact, the only way - of forgiveness through the death of His son, Jesus.
How can you experience God's love and forgiveness? How can you have everlasting life? John 3:16 says that it is available to any who would believe in Jesus. But "believing in Jesus" is more than acknowledging that He is the Lord and Savior of the world. It is personally accepting Him as your very own Lord and Savior. It is repenting - turning away from sin - and offering Him control of your life.
Are you willing to give your life to Christ and receive the everlasting life He promises? Why not say this prayer to Jesus from your heart:
"Dear Jesus... I know that I am a sinner. I believe you are the Son of God. I know that you died because of and for my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins and I give you control of my life. Show me how to follow you. Amen"
