Outreach

Park Hill Baptist Church seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ to others through both word and deed. Some of the more formal ways we do this are listed below.

Locally:
We support the Clay/Platte Baptist Association, an organization dedicated to planting new churches in our area and strengthening existing congregations.

Our various ministry teams plan events that both encourage our body, but also serve as an opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to participate, and often, to hear the message of the gospel. In the past we also have distributed New Testaments at nearby colleges, manned evangelism booths at the Parkville Days festival, and distributed gospel-themed flyers door-to-door.

Tremont Ministry: Park Hill collaborates with United Services Community Action Agency, a large umbrella organization active throughout the Kansas City area, to help low-income senior citizens in our neighborhood in the form of food-assistance. Volunteers visit monthly with supplies of food, and also put together “socials” in which the seniors may participate.

Regionally:
We support the Missouri Baptist Convention, and through that partnership we support missions throughout the state – from disaster relief to Christian higher education to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Nationally:
By virtue of our membership with the Southern Baptist Convention, Park Hill Baptist Church sponsors thousands of missionaries operating in both the United States and abroad through the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board respectively. We also support graduate education in theology and ministry at six theological seminaries (including Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary here in Kansas City), and underwrites the work of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.
