Ministries

In addition to our main Sunday worship service and Sunday School programs, Park Hill Baptist Church offers a variety of targeted ministries to help everyone grow spiritually and to serve Christ throughout the week.  For a sense of the opportunities available at our church—opportunities to learn, to serve, to make friends, and even just to have fun—check out the groups and ministries listed below.

Children’s Ministry

Each Sunday, as a part of our morning worship service, children are invited to join Phoenix Davidovich, our Minister of Youth and Children, for a moment at the front of the church for the children’s message–a charming impromptu lesson inspired by a random object. Additionally, during the adult sermon, preschoolers are provided with their own age-appropriate lessons in Children’s Church while older children are encouraged to remain with their families in the main sanctuary. On Wednesday nights from 6:15 to 8:00 PM during the school years we have AWANA, and each summer Park Hill Baptist Church offers a Vacation Bible School program that revolves around a different theme.

Youth Group

Our youth group, TFC (i.e. Teens for Christ), meets each Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the youth room. It is a fun time of friends and fellowship that includes in-depth Bible Study taught in a style that is interesting and engaging. There are opportunities to worship and praise and to blow off a little steam. In addition to the regular Wednesday meetings, the youth group participates in loads of other events that range from camps and conferences for learning and growing in Christ to fun activities like local concerts, laser tag, go-karts, and so on.

Adult Small-Groups

Park Hill Baptist offers a variety of prayer and study groups designed for adults including the Ladies Bible Study, the Men’s Bible Study, the co-ed Pastor’s Study, Life Group, and the Young Adult (College and Career) group. These gatherings meet both at the church campus and in local homes, during the weekend and on weekdays, in the morning and in the evening. Whatever your schedule or situation in life, there is a small-group for you.

Music

Music plays a big part in our worship at Park Hill. And to help facilitate that ministry, Will Steinbeck, our Minister of Music and Worship, leads up a number of different teams that focus on praising the Lord with song. Our worship teams, made up of vocalists and instrumentalists, lead the congregation in worship each week. We also maintain a seasonal choir that performs in connection with the Christmas and Easter seasons. And our seasonal handbell choir presents featured musical numbers throughout the year.

Missions and Outreach

In addition to funding the work of professional missionaries around the world through our denominational partnerships, the members of Park Hill Baptist Church demonstrate the love of Christ through both word and deed in our local community too. Each year we share the gospel message with our neighbors in connection with the Parkville Days festival and other opportunities for evangelism. Volunteers from Park Hill Baptist Church visit and supply a community of seniors with needed food assistance monthly. And each Christmas, Park Hill Baptist Church hosts the United Services charitable “Christmas Store” at our location to ensure that needy families can enjoy the season of Christ’s birth rather than fret over finances.
